Gun Hill Tavern

First Impression:

  • Beautiful bar, inside and out. You can see the bright lights from far. Before walking inside of Gun Hill Tavern, I could already tell that it was a modern bar from the outside. As I was making my way to my seat, I was having a “ohh, ahh moment” lol. I mean its so pretty and comfy inside. Another thing is is not on Gun Hill its on Cypress Ave.

  • Great selections of food and drink. (Do not be afraid to ask the bartenders for drink or food suggestions, they are super friendly.)
  • You can go here for a romantic date with someone special and/or you can go here for a night of family fun!
  • The burger is to die for, it was everything you need in a burger! And the fries were nice and crispy. (I love a good burger with my wine) Omg! Please try it.

Women’s March 2017

On Saturday January 21st, I marched down the city of New York. The main point of this march was to promote civil rights for everyone around the world. This was an international movement and I attend the one held in New York City. Nearly 4.8 million people around the world joined this march. Women’s March Website

I am happy to share with you, that it was a beautiful experience! For the first time in my life, I felt the warm feeling of unity amongst thousands of New Yorkers. This was nothing compared to the awkward train ride to work in the morning. Everyone was on the same page (men, women and children) chanting and singing along, marching with their hand-made posters (and they were extremely creative), everyone was free to express themselves peacefully but yet together and that was the true beauty of this movement. Attending this march, has made me realize how important it is to stand with your community. This experience goes on the “Stories to tell my children” list. Truly happy to say that I was part of a beautiful piece of history.
