I was a professional complainer and at some point I felt myself turning into a grumpy bear. Things were not going the way I anticipated and I felt that no one understood what I was going through. This led me to hide inside of a cocoon. I learned how to bury my thoughts, opinions and feelings deep inside. I mean, I suppressed things and forgot that it was there. Happy people made me itch because they had something that I was missing. I was allergic to joy because it was an uncomfortable feeling. Happiness was the goal for me but I cringed at the image of being really happy. I walked around the same struggles for a while; because I was stuck on a stagnated mindset.
You see, this was the same problem with the people of Israel. God sent Moses to save the people of Israel from slavery in Egypt and lead them into the promised land. When they were finally free, they complained themselves into misery. Though the lord provided for his people, they got lost by putting all of their focus on their problems. While they were physically free, they were mentally stuck in slavery back in Egypt. In fact, they wanted to go back to slavery instead of going to the promised land. Why? Because they had to make the decision to trust in God and not what they understand. Because they were walking by sight and not by faith. Because it hurts to struggle. Because discipline is uncomfortable. Because going through, meant enduring pain. Because they had to trust God more than they trust themselves. Because in order to make it to the other side, you have to be willing to loose everything. Because they have been slaves longer than they have been free. Because they anticipated things to be easy but it was hard instead. The people of Israel complained for 40 years and they never saw the promised land. Simply, because they did not want to go through.
Stop complaining and go through. God will not give you anything that you can’t handle. Trust the process. Embrace your struggles because they make you stronger. Struggles are made to whip us into shape. We need it, it is impossible to get by without a struggle. Everyone goes through. I promise when I say that you are not alone. You can not go around, underneath or from the side. The only way out is to go THROUGH.

Beautiful BoomYou feel like no one sees you. You are kind to those around you. You are not after the paycheck but after the cause. You genuinely compliment strangers. You are willing to draw a smile into someones face, even when yours is faded. You offer your seat when you are on the bus or subway for someone in need. You use your metro card to get on the front of the bus, despite of how many people are smuggling themselves in the back of the bus. You look in the eyes of a stranger and smile. You challenge yourself to be better than yesterday everyday. You feed your mind, soul and body with positive juice. You indulge yourself in love and pure joy. Just like the font on the picture above, YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL in and throughout. Do not get weary in well doing, God sees you even when no one is watching.

You hear me? God sees you. 🎀

my bible You may know this, but there is power in prayer. In other words, there is power in talking to God. Talking to God, is defined as praying. Whether you hold your hands together or sit still. God hears you either way. Cant find anyone to talk to? Talk to god he is always available, I promise you that he does not take any lunch breaks. He does not miss a single beat, in fact he is waiting for you to talk to him. Pray because you need help, pray because you want to be happy, pray because you are hurt, pray because you are lost, pray because you are confused, pray because you are thankful, pray because you want more of god, pray because you want to hear his voice, pray because no one understands you, pray because you need directions, pray because you almost died and somehow you are still here. Pray about any and everything. Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. (Jeremiah 29:12) ⠀

Prayer: ⠀
Dear God, thank you for this day. Thank you for keeping me safe and sound. In Jesus name, Amen.

You are beautiful
You are different
You are YOU!!!

People today tend to compare themselves to others because they want to be them or even possess what they have. We all have role models but there is difference between and idol and following someone else’s trend.

Begin by analyzing yourself in the mirror, admire your features as you look at yourself. DO NOT THINK ABOUT THE NEGATIVE BUT INSTEAD THINK ABOUT THE POSITIVE!!!

NEXT, Have you ever sat down to actually contemplate what makes you beautiful?
Take the moment to think about five things that makes you beautiful or even happy and if you cant that is a problem.
The problem is your not identifying the beauty within yourself and now it is time to get out of that shell.
That barrier that you have can be broken down! Do not build upon it but break it instead.
Look upon my 5 ways to be more creative blog post on how to branch out to be different and unique.

However this post is to make you more focused on yourself and who you are a s person.

Then, each day as you wake up place a post-it note of a motivational thought on your mirror, or somewhere you will always see the post-it.

Lastly, say “I am confident”, each day and night, even when you in the car going to work, or even taking public transportation.

Your confidence is the key to everything. It shapes who you are as a person, and that positivity needs to be shared throughout. That is what people will want to see.

Remember you came out into this world alone, now its time to make your own image of yourself. Make yourself your own role model.

Imagine this; As you lay down on the grass with your eyes looking up, seeing the blue and white clouds as they move left and right in an indecisive order. You begin to make images in your head of what you see in the sky. Now that is creativity.

Have you ever heard of writer’s block? Well, there can be creator’s block. Here are some tips on how to be more creative:

1. Identify What You Enjoy

First, we need to identify what you enjoy, such as hobbies, favorite subjects, or even what you like to eat! Now use those as a starting foundation for thinking of ideas related to the topics.

2. Step Out the Box

Use these hobbies to branch out into different past-times you’ve never tried before. Take a risk. Do something challenging. Step out your comfort zone.

3. Research for Inspirations

Everyone is inspired by someone or something. Now it’s your turn. Take several inspirations from different websites, such as Pinterest, and apply them into your own work.

4. Go Out

Remaining in the same environment can limit your creativity, so going out can help you draw inspirations. Take pictures, to reminisce about the memories that you experienced, and create a collage about your favorite moments.

5. Personal Space

Everyone eventually needs “Me-time” to destress, reflect, and to recharge our batteries before we can continue onto the next level of our creativity.
Now to execute your image, the image that was created up in the sky is about to be produced.
